Twala and NDC Forge Strategic Partnership to Drive Digital Innovation and Economic Growth in the Philippines

Twala, a DOST-backed Filipino tech startup specializing in blockchain-based digital solutions, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Development Company (NDC) as knowledge partners to advance digital innovation and boost economic growth in the Philippines. The MoU was signed in August 2024 at the NDC Office, with Twala CEO and Co-Founder Engr. Jeffrey V. Reyes and NDC General Manager Antonilo DC. Mauricio present at the ceremony.

Twala, led by Engr. Reyes, is known for its innovative digital platform, Twala Sign, which enables the secure drafting, signing, verifying, and storing of tamper-proof digital contracts and documents. Twala Sign ensures that digital transactions are trusted and legally admissible, making it a valuable tool for businesses and government agencies alike.

NDC, a government-owned and controlled corporation established under Presidential Decree No. 1648, is tasked with pursuing various commercial, industrial, agricultural, and mining projects that contribute to national economic development. The corporation can execute these projects independently or in collaboration with the private sector, particularly for high-risk initiatives or those lacking sufficient funding or resources.

Through this strategic partnership, NDC aims to leverage Twala’s expertise in blockchain-based digital solutions to advance the digitalization of government processes. By incorporating secure and compliant electronic signing solutions that meet international standards, this collaboration seeks to facilitate the adoption of digital technologies across various sectors, enhancing efficiency and security in public services.

By joining forces, Twala and NDC are poised to make significant contributions to the Philippine Government’s broader efforts to promote digital transformation across industries. This alliance underscores the government’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge digital innovation as a driver of economic growth and improved public service delivery.
